As children get older and become involved in extracurricular activities at school, it may be time to make an appointment for a sports physical. Prior to starting a new school year, your child may need to get a physical so they can participate in sports. This is a good thing, as keeping your child active is a vital part of their development and growth. A physical will likely be required by your child’s school in order for them to participate in sports, but this is also a good opportunity for our provider to check in and make sure they are ready for physical activity.
Sports Physical for Preventive Care
Here at Tots N Teens Pediatrics, your child’s health and overall wellness is our number one priority. This is why we encourage all children, teens, and young adults who will be playing sports to schedule a physical with us today. This can be performed at one of our three locations in Mesquite, Plano, or Forney, Texas. They are good for one year, allowing your child to participate in various sports in different seasons.
Sports physicals aim to detect serious conditions and injuries in young adults prior to them playing sports. Most schools require student-athletes in grades 7-12 to get a physical before the school year.
